چکیده
We proposed an all-optical plasmonic switch based on metal-insulator-metal structures. used the intrinsic nonlinear properties of gold to implement switch. The consists a bus waveguide side coupled with pair asymmetric vertical cavities. obtained transmission spectrum structure for low input intensities. results showed that sharp dip occurs at wavelength 860 nm. Due and Kerr effects, has high ratio about 0.8 mW / μm2 threshold power 0.07 μm2. without using nanostructure shows reduction 50%. result potential be applied in integration circuits.

Whispering gallery modes inside asymmetric resonant cavities.
Two dimensional resonators with a smooth strictly convex boundary are known to possess a whispering gallery region supporting modes concentrated near the boundary. A new class of asymmetric resonant cavities is introduced, where a whispering gallery-like region is found deep inside the resonator. The construction of such resonators is a novel application of the geometric control methods. The re...
متن کاملDesign of plasmonic cavities
In this review paper, we introduce the unique optical properties of high-quality, fully three-dimensional, subwavelength-scale plasmonic cavities. Surface-plasmon-polaritons excited at dielectric-metal interfaces are strongly confined in such cavities. The field profiles of plasmonic modes, their temperature-dependent quality factors, and subwavelength mode volumes are calculated and analyzed s...
متن کاملGrating based plasmonic band gap cavities.
We report on a comparative study of grating based plasmonic band gap cavities. Numerically, we calculate the quality factors of the cavities based on three types of grating surfaces; uniform, biharmonic and Moiré surfaces. We show that for biharmonic band gap cavities, the radiation loss can be suppressed by removing the additional grating component in the cavity region. Due to the gradual chan...
متن کاملHigh Quality Plasmonic Sensors Based on Fano Resonances Created through Cascading Double Asymmetric Cavities
In this paper, a type of compact nanosensor based on a metal-insulator-metal structure is proposed and investigated through cascading double asymmetric cavities, in which their metal cores shift along different axis directions. The cascaded asymmetric structure exhibits high transmission and sharp Fano resonance peaks via strengthening the mutual coupling of the cavities. The research results s...
متن کاملCoupled Plasmonic Cavities on Moire Surfaces
Surface plasmon polariton (SPP) waveguides formed by coupled plasmonic cavities on metallic Moire surfaces have been investigated both experimentally and numerically. The Moire surface, fabricated by interference lithography, contains periodic arrays of one-dimensional cavities. The coupling strength between the cavities has been controlled by changing the periodicities of the Moire surface. Th...
